My story

The designer as a small child in Zimbabwe in her parents' beautifully designed garden

I grew up with parents who were passionate, knowledgeable gardeners, creating beautiful outdoor spaces wherever we lived in the world. Plants and gardens were always part of my life, and that early exposure shaped the way I see space, nature and how people live with their surroundings.

I’ve always been drawn to lifestyle and design, and a major house renovation proved a turning point, immersing me in how thoughtful design and good flow can transform the feel of a home.

After more than 20 years in communications agencies, I was ready for a new challenge that brought together creativity, people, and work that felt more grounded and lasting. This led me to study horticulture and train in garden design at Plumpton College in Sussex.

What I bring to my garden design work is a blend of creative thinking and practical experience. From my previous career, I’m used to working closely with clients, shaping a clear vision, managing projects, timelines and budgets with confidence.

My horticultural and design training adds the depth of plant knowledge and practical spatial planning needed to create gardens that not only look good but thrive.

I care deeply about the role green spaces play in our lives. Whether it’s a small urban terrace, a suburban garden or even a balcony, access to nature can transform how we feel day to day - everyone deserves an outdoor space that brings them joy.

My garden design philosophy

Gardens should feel like a natural extension of the home - welcoming, intuitive and full of life.

I start every project by listening carefully to what matters to you and understanding how the site works, before creating a strong underlying layout and sense of flow. I look to go beyond the brief, introducing ideas you may not yet have known you wanted - subtle moments that surprise, challenge expectations and elevate the space in ways that feel natural and considered. At the heart of every design is generous planting that brings colour, texture and a genuine connection to nature.

I avoid artificial or over-designed solutions in favour of gardens that feel comfortable, authentic and easy to enjoy - spaces that sit naturally within their setting, reveal themselves over time, and are a pleasure to live with rather than a chore to maintain.
